CENTRAL VALLEY WATER BOARD APPROVES FINES FOR DISCHARGING IRRIGATED LAND WASTE WITHOUT A PERMIT
On 5 December 2014, the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board issued Administrative Civil Liability Orders against Merced and Madera County landowners for failure to acquire the required permits for the discharge of waste from irrigated cropland.
Larry and Shireen Slate of Merced County were fined $32,032, and the David and Linda Davis Trust of Madera County was fined $9,152. Press Release
Elena Andrade, David Allan Ross / Renae Elaine Braaksma-Ross, Madera County
On 9 March 2015, the Assistant Executive Officer of the Central Valley Water Board issued Administrative Civil Liability Complaints (“Complaints”) to Elena Andrade and David Allan Ross & Renae Elaine Braaksma-Ross for failure to obtain regulatory coverage for commercial irrigated lands. The proposed penalty amounts for the Andrade and Braaksma-Ross Complaints are $23,595 and $32,532, respectively.

Both of the parties named in the Complaints have submitted hearing waivers and requested to negotiate a settlement with Central Valley Water Board staff. These Complaints will therefore not be considered by the Board during the June 4/5 hearing; however, the Complaints may be considered by the Board during a later hearing. If this occurs, you will be notified of the new hearing date.
